I purchased this as part of my collection over 30 years ago from a vintage clothing store in Koenji, where it was displayed in the shop. The vintage clothing boom hadn't really taken off yet back then, but I fell in love with it at first sight just from seeing the display! I was told that it's rare to find American vintage clothing from the 50s in such good condition, and although it was expensive for me, I decided to buy it and carefully kept it in my collection. I have never worn it since purchasing it. The fabric and the TALON zipper are in excellent condition, and it's in remarkably good condition considering its age. There are no manufacturer or quality tags remaining. It's a lighter weight, flawless for spring and autumn! This jacket has a traditional American vintage feel with details like the inverted V-cut below the zipper, the double front pockets, and the white stitching.
