Doesn't include batteries and requires 3 AAA, so the battery compartment will be clean. several of the blue plastic has discolored a touch at the seam, not severe, maybe even cleanable. I copied and reprinted the instructions. Original instructions included as well for preservation of original stock, just-arrived one provided for just an extra round of safety.
